Vasyl Turchyn – born in 1992 in Lviv. He began his journey in professional sports in the discipline of powerlifting, achieving success in regional and national-level competitions. He is also passionate about judo and soccer – he was a member of the “Jantarnyj” Nowoyavoriv club. Among his sports inspirations, he mentions Mariusz Pudzianowski, the multiple World’s Strongest Man champion, and his Ukrainian rival, the shot putter Vasyl Virastiuk, a two-time World’s Strongest Man champion. In 2015, he defended his master’s degree at the Lviv University of Trade and Economics. Since 2016, he has been living permanently in Warsaw. Since 2022, he has been associated with the “Galiczanka” Lviv club, where he holds the position of Director of Communication and Marketing. In his free time, he continues to train in powerlifting and is also passionate about music – he is a guitarist in a rock band. He envisions his future in Poland. He would like to continue working for the development of the “Galiczanka” club, where he sees significant potential for building sports and cultural relationships between Poland and Ukraine.
