Professor Andrzej Klimerek- Rector of the Academy of Physical Education in Krakow He graduated with honors from the AWF in Krakow, after which he was employed at his alma mater as an assistant at the Department of Physiology and Biochemistry. In 1995, he defended his doctorate and received the position of assistant professor at the University of Physical Education. He received his habilitation degree in 2004, and in 2011 he received the title of professor of physical culture sciences from the president. In the years 2008-2016 and again from 2020, he is the rector of the Krakow Academy of Physical Education. In 2019-2020 he was a member of the Science Excellence Council
