Prof. Georgi Apostolov
Rector of the International Business School, Bulgaria
The International Business School (IBS) is a private non-profit higher education institution committed to teaching, research and cooperation with industry. It was established in 1991 as Bulgarian-Danish College and recognized as a higher education institution in 2002. IBS is accredited by the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency of Bulgaria and it presently offers 12 Bachelor’s, 18 Master’s and 3 PhD study programmes in the fields of Management and Administration, Economics and Tourism.
Prof. Apostolov has rich experience in university management having been Scientific Secretary, Dean, and Vice-Rector for research and PhD studies of a large public university in Bulgaria, and afterwards – Vice-Rector and Rector of International Business School. He also used to serve 11 years as Editor-in-Chief of a scientific “Philosophy Journal”, issued by the Ministry of Education and Science of Bulgaria and indexed in Web of Science, Philosophers’ Index, and other international research data bases. Currently he teaches various courses in the field of Management and organization.
Prof. Apostolov has been engaged in many international projects (including funded by 6th, 7th, 2020 and HORIZON Framework Programmes) and initiatives in the fields of higher education, regional development, youth, etc. He has also been working as an external evaluator of projects for the National Erasmus+ Agency as well as consultant for various national and international organizations and bodies.
