Nina Shatberashvili holds a Diploma of Conservation Architect from the State Academy of Fine Arts. She is a member of International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS). At the same time, she has more than 20 years of experience in sustainable development, climate change and environmental governance project management in the countries of the Caucasus, with a special focus on the mountain areas of the region. She is a founder of the Caucasus Network for Sustainable Development of Mountain Regions (Sustainable Caucasus), the Coordination Unit of the Scientific Network for the Caucasus Mountain Region (SNC-mt). She currently acts as an Executive Director of the Sustainable Caucasus.
