Director of the Board of Sports Infrastructure in Krakow
Director of the Board of Sports Infrastructure in Krakow. Previously, for many years, he worked in managerial positions in state and local administration. A graduate of the Krakow University of Technology, where he completed his higher studies (specialization in Power Systems and Devices) and postgraduate studies (Business School – MBA title) at the Mechanical Faculty.
As the Director of the Board of Sports Infrastructure in Krakow, he oversees the construction and modernization of the city’s sports and recreational infrastructure, as well as the maintenance of the existing facilities at the highest level. He also takes care of promoting sports and active leisure among the residents of Krakow. He is also responsible for organizing and co-organizing major sports events in our city – during his tenure as the Director of BSI in Krakow, events such as the World and European Championships in volleyball, handball, slalom canoeing, motorsports took place here. Additionally, events like the Tour de Pologne, H. J. Wagner Memorial, and CAVALIADA have become permanent fixtures in the city’s calendar of events. Over the last several years, the sports events organized by BSI under his direction have become a hallmark of the city, including the Cracovia Marathon, Cracovia Royal Half Marathon, and the Three Mounds Run.
During his time as the Director of BSI, he has been distinguished with titles such as “Leader of Polish Sports,” the golden statuette “Builder of Polish Sport,” and the title of “Builder of Polish Sport of the 20th Anniversary,” as well as the silver and golden badges “For Merits in Sport.” He was awarded the title of Sport Business Leader Poland 2022 in the “Local Government Units” category, and the Golden Badge of the Polish Volleyball League.
