Janusz Uznański
Vice President of the Polish Volleyball Foundation
Graduate of the Faculty of Social Sciences (specialization in journalism) at the University of Silesia (1987-1992). Sports journalist: reporter, editor, feature writer, commentator.
In 1990, he began working in the sports editorial office of Telewizja Katowice (Katowice Television), to which he was affiliated until 2002. In the same year, he assumed the role of the head of the sports editorial office at TVP 3 Regionalna and TVP 3 Warsaw, a position he held until 2015.
Commentator for volleyball, shooting, snowboarding, and synchronized swimming. He covered events such as the Olympics in Sydney, Lake Placid, Athens, Turin, Beijing, as well as various volleyball events: World Championships, European Championships, World League, World Grand Prix, and European cups.
For the past ten years, he has been an employee of the Polish Volleyball Association (Polski Związek Piłki Siatkowej); initially as the association’s spokesperson and, for the past two years, as the Director of Operations. During his tenure within the PZPS (Polish Volleyball Association) structures, the federation was the organizer of the World Championships in 2014, 2022, Men’s European Championships in 2013, 2017, 2021, Women’s European Championships in 2019, the Final of the World League in 2016, and the Nations League in 2023. During this decade, the national team won over 100 medals in international events.
In 2022, he became a part of the Management Board of the Polish Volleyball Foundation – serving as Vice President.
