Delegate of the Rector for Research Affairs, Professor at the WSTiE (Higher School of Tourism and Ecology).

A Ph.D. in Physical Culture Sciences, a graduate of the Krakow Academy of Physical Education, specializing in tourist movement research and tourist product design. Head of the Department of Tourist Traffic Service, and an academic staff member at the Academy of Physical Education.

Research areas include the Polish leisure model, the responsibility of the tourism industry, tourist product design, psychological aspects of travel, surveying tourist opinions, and assessing tourist reception facilities and staff. Co-founder and long-time Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Recreation at WSTiE. Expert for the Polish Tourism Association, a member of the board of the Małopolska Tourist Organization, head of the inter-university expert team for MOT (Małopolskie Organizacje Turystyczne) regarding tourism phenomena in Krakow and Małopolska.

A long-time member of the nationwide examination and qualification commission for foreign tour guides, and long-time chairman of the Małopolska provincial examination and qualification commission for tour guides. From 2003 to 2019, and continuing in 2023, he serves as the chairman of the “ODYS” competition jury for the best travel agencies in Małopolska. Author and co-author of numerous publications, as well as a participant in many methodological and scientific conferences in the field of tourist traffic service and physical recreation.

Recognized with the Honorary Badge of the Minister of Sports and Tourism “For Merits to Tourism,” the title “Małopolska Tourism Personality,” the Honorary Badge of the Mayor of Krakow “Honoris Gratia,” the Gold and Silver Cross of Merit, the Medal of the National Education Commission, and the Gold Medal for Long Service, as well as the Honorary Badge of the Małopolska Voivodeship – Małopolska Cross – Second Class – Silver.
