Dr hab. Hanna Zawistowska

Member of the Tourism Experts Council

A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw; Ph.D. and habilitated doctor in economics; until September 30, 2018, employed as an associate professor in the Department of Tourism, and later as a specialist in the Department of Tourism Economy Research at the College of World Economy at SGH (Warsaw School of Economics); a specialist in the field of tourism law, consumer protection in tourism services, and national tourism policy; from 1997 to 2011, she worked in central government administration bodies responsible for tourism, representing them in international organizations (EU, OECD, UNWTO; WTO), and participated in the implementation of EU regulations concerning tourism into national law; since 2011, she has been the head of Postgraduate Studies for Tourism and Hospitality Managers at SGH; author of numerous publications on legal and organizational aspects of tourism; a lecturer in subjects covering tourism law, consumer protection, and national tourism policy; she led the project for developing sectoral qualification frameworks for the tourism sector from 2014 to 2015; since November 2016, she has been the chair of the Sectoral Council for Competences in Tourism; in 2019, she led the pilot project for the implementation of the Sectoral Qualification Framework for the Tourism Sector in hotels and travel agencies; in January 2021, she was appointed to the Tourism Experts Council under the Minister responsible for tourism affairs, and from 2022, she has served as the chair of the Main Committee of the Nationwide Hotel Skills Olympics organized by SGH.
