Polish sports manager. A graduate of AWF Gdańsk, he is the originator and one of the founders of the Polish Volleyball League, which has been managing top-level volleyball competitions in Poland since 2000. He is the current president of the board of the Polish Volleyball League and vice president of the board of the Polish Volleyball Federation.

Popko has also been involved in many other significant projects for Polish volleyball, such as the debut of the Polish Red and White in the World League in 1998, building the foundations of Polish beach volleyball, the creation of the Volleyball School Centers project, the creation of the Polish Oldboy Championships, and the recent numerous sporting successes of the Red and White.

The Sport Business Poland Association awarded the Polish Volleyball League, led by President Popko, in the “Sports League 2022 of the Year” category, and the Men’s Volleyball World Championship was awarded in the “Sports Event 2022 of the Year” category.
